Tips for wearing and washing hold-ups
Hold-ups or stay-up tights are self-supporting tights without a panty.
They have an elastic band at the top with silicone edges that stick to the thighs.
The silicone edges ensure the stockings stay in place on your thighs.
- Pull your hold-up up properly, fold back the band, and the silicone edges will now be visible.
- Go over the silicone edges with a warm, damp washcloth. This will clean and warm them, softening the silicone and ensuring the hold-up stays perfectly in place on your leg.
- DO NOT use body lotion, (bath) oils, or cream when wearing hold-ups. This will smooth out the silicone edges, causing them to slip down.
- Wash your hold-ups in lukewarm or cold water, otherwise, the silicone band will lose its strength. Fabric softener is also not recommended, as it can damage the elastane, causing the hold-up to lose its stretch.
