Tips for wearing and washing hold-ups
Hold-up or stay-up tights are self-supporting tights without a panty section.
At the top, they have an elastic band with silicone edges that stick to the upper thighs.
- Put on your hold-ups properly, fold the band down so the silicone edges are visible.
- Use a washcloth dipped in warm water to clean and warm the silicone edges. This softens the silicone and ensures a perfect grip on your leg.
- Do NOT use body lotion, bath oil, or cream when wearing hold-ups. These make the silicone band slippery, causing the stockings to slide down.
- Wash your hold-ups in lukewarm or cold water. Hot water weakens the silicone band. Fabric softener is also not recommended, as it can damage the elastane and reduce the stretch.
