Tips for wearing and washing hold-ups
Hold-up tights are self-supporting tights without a panty section. They have an elastic band at the top with silicone edges that stick to the upper thighs. These silicone edges ensure the stockings stay in place.
Put on your hold-ups properly, fold the band back so the silicone edges are visible. Use a washcloth soaked in warm water to clean and warm up the silicone edges. This softens the silicone, making the hold-up stick perfectly to your leg. While wearing, your body temperature will keep the hold-ups in place.
Do NOT use body lotion, (bath) oil, or cream when wearing hold-ups. These products make the silicone band slippery, causing the hold-ups to slide down.
Wash your hold-ups in lukewarm or cold water, as hot water weakens the silicone band.
Using fabric softener is also discouraged, as it can damage the elastane and reduce the hold-up's elasticity.
